Nonso Diobi, born July 17, 1976, is a popular Nigerian actor and filmmaker. He came into the spotlight in 2001 after making his screen debut in the film, Border Line. He was born in Enugu State but originally hailed from Nawfia in Anambra State.

Early Life and Education
Nonso Diobi comes from Nawfia, a small town in Anambra, State, the Southeast region of Nigeria.
He was born in another part of Southeast, Enugu State where he grew up and had his primary and secondary school education.
Diobi gained admission into the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and bagged a degree before joining Nollywood full time.
Nonso Diobi made his screen debut in the 2001 movie Border Line while majoring in theatre art at the University of Nigeria.
This was followed by a standout performance in the film “Hatred.” After giving a standout performance in the film “Across the Bridge,” which helped him break through, he went on to become well-known throughout Africa
He is the founder and chairman of the renowned African film and television production firm, Golden Tape Media.
Nonso Diobi serves as an ambassador for both Teachers Without Borders and the UN for world peace. He has acted in more than 76 movies.
