Early Life and Education

Teni was born in Lagos State, the Southwest region of Nigeria. She is the younger sister of Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Niniola.

Teni attended Apata Memorial High School, Lagos State then proceeded to a higher institution.

She graduated with a degree in business administration from American InterContinental University.

Career

Teni released her debut single, Amen while she was signed to Shizzi’s Magic Fingers Records. However she later parted ways with the record company in 2017 and joined Dr. Dolor Entertainment 

After releasing the track “Fargin” in September 2017, Teni began to acquire popularity but wasn’t the talk of the town until she released top hits “Askamaya,” “Case,” and “Uyo Meyo.”

Teni was highlighted on YouTube Music’s Trending Artist on the Rise on February 20th, 2019. She released the video for “Sugar Mummy” on May 3, 2019.

Teni dropped a brand-new song named “Power Rangers” on June 14, which gained massive airplays few days after released.

On October 11, 2019, Teni released Billionaire, her debut EP with no guests appearance on the project. Pheelz and Jaysynths Beatz produced the EP.

Teni’s debut album, WONDALAND, took the singer more than two years to create and was recorded in locations like London, New York, Orlando, Ondo, Lagos, and Abuja.

Davido makes a guest appearance on the album with Pheelz, DamayoTempoeP.PrimeMillamixKrizbeatz, and Ozedikus taking the production credits.
