The Metropolitan Museum of Art paid lifelong tribute to singer Rihanna during the Met Gala 2022. Rihanna, who is soon expecting her first baby with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky, couldn’t make it to the Met Gala this year, but she still made it to fashion’s biggest night.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has commissioned a marble statue in honor of Rihanna.
The singer has already posted on her Instagram to thank the museum for the historic tribute. She shared a video of the statue taking pride of place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, writing: “Shut down the marble! what could be more gilded than that? LOL! Thank you for this historic tribute! you are all bad for this one.”
