Early Life and Education

Olu Jacobs was born into the family of Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs from Egba Alake.

He was raised in Kano and went to Holy Trinity School, where he participated in the theatre and debating societies.

 

Olu Jacobs was encouraged to try acting when he went to one of Chief Hubert Ogunde’s yearly concert parties at the Colonial Hotel in Kano. He then obtained a visa and moved to England to pursue acting.

Jacobs received his education in England at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
