Hanks Anuku, born August 27, 1960, is a Nigerian-Ghanaian veteran actor. He is best known for playing a villain in several Nollywood films. In 2017, he was naturalized and became an American. Hanks Anuku was born in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Early Life and Education
Hanks Anuku had his secondary school education at Loyola College, Ibadan, and obtained his Senior Secondary School certificate.
He then proceeded to Auchi Polytechnic where he graduated in 1981.
He is Igbo tribe from Ika in Delta State, the South South region of Nigeria.
Hanks Anuku began working in the film industry in 1993, not long after returning from the United States of America where he briefly worked as an actor.
He didn’t earned his film debut, though, until 1994 in Fidelis Duker’s film, Skeleton. He has now appeared in other films such as Wild Romance, Akidi, Dear Sister, and Django.
Hanks Anuku first gained attention in the industry in 1994 when he starred in The Senator, a hit film that elevated him above his contemporaries at the time.
The veteran actor has now appeared in several Nollywood films, especially playing the villain role and his American accent which earned him the name “American Boy.”

Hanks Anuku changed his name to Nana Kwame Fifi Kakra in 2017 and acquired Ghanaian citizenship.
Anuku announced in the media that he intended to live for the remainder of his days in Ghana.
