1. After you have received your acceptance letter from school, you should check if you need a study permit here: Once you see you are eligible for a Study permit, then click:

2. on the ‘How to Apply’ page you’d be asked two questions:

  • (a.) Which country are you applying from? Answer: choose the country you are applying from
  • (b.) How do you want to apply? Answer: you choose Online, then scroll down and click:
  • 3. Create an Account and Sign In.’ you should see this page after clicking ‘Create An Account & Sign In’ Once there, click: ‘Sign in .
  • 4. Create your Username, Password & Security Q&As, You now have an online profile with a required list of documents to submit. Now gather your Documents.
    The ‘FORMS’ you’d need are:

    • (a.) Applications for a Study Permit made outside Canada. (IMM 1294)
    • (b.) Applications for a Temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada. (Optional)
    • (c.) Family Information Form (IMM 5707)

Documents Required

  • 5. Double-check all documents & forms to ensure they’ve been filled, signed, and validated properly.

7. Biometrics is done at the visa Office. After submitting your application, you’d get a ‘Biometrics Introduction Letter’, which you’d take to the Visa Office for your biometrics.

1. Choice of Sponsor: Dad/Mum’s most preferred sponsor. (If uncle or aunt, get a gift deed).
